ALIAC Students Soar at Collins Aerospace: An Unforgettable Immersion Experience

ALIAC students recently undertook a journey at Collins Aerospace in Batangas.at Collins Aerospace in Batangas from June 10-11, 2024. Over the course of two days, they dove deep into the world of aerospace innovation, exploring cutting-edge technologies and unraveling the secrets of flight. This immersive experience was truly transformative for our budding aerospace professionals.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the Human Resources Department of Collins Aerospace, with Ms. Jam dela Vega, the Director, leading the initiative. Her inspirational talk set the tone for an engaging and educational experience. She emphasized the importance of innovation and continuous learning in the rapidly evolving aerospace industry.

The immersion program was meticulously designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry. The Phoenixes had the unique opportunity to explore the latest advancements in aerospace/ aviation technology. They were introduced to state-of-the-art aviation systems, advanced materials used in aircraft manufacturing, and the intricate processes involved in ensuring flight safety and efficiency.

One of the highlights of the visit was the production visit where students observe production in a practical setting. They saw activities such as assembling basic electronic components and understanding the dynamics of aircraft technologies. These experiences not only enhanced their technical skills but also ignited a deeper passion for aerospace engineering.

The interaction with industry experts was another cornerstone of the immersion. Seasoned engineers and technicians from Collins Aerospace shared their insights and experiences, offering valuable career advice and answering students’ questions about the industry. This direct mentorship was invaluable, providing students with a clearer vision of their future careers and the steps needed to achieve their goals.
