Welcome to

ALIAC‘s Basic Education Program

ALIAC formally adopts the Basic Education System of the Philippines the K–6–4–2 —one year of kindergarten, six years of elementary education, four years of junior high school education and two years of senior high school education.

Our Basic Education Department is composed of a just and caring community that welcomes all students and their families. We believe students should have access to a wide range of learning experiences, including seminars and exposure trips that they choose. We have a common aim: to prepare each student for college, careers, and civic life.

We encourage you to attend one of our scheduled visiting days within the school year to know more about us. We look forward to assisting you with the application process.

Elementary Education

Our Elementary Education uses national and international standards to create learning goals in each core subject area. Then we engage our children in the inquiry process, using their interests and voices to create unique paths to discovery. The results? Deep and relevant learning that our children can build on throughout their lives.

Junior High School

Our JHS program comprises grades 7 to 10 (ages 12 to 16). Students who complete elementary education at grade 6 automatically progress to JHS. The JHS core curriculum includes standard subjects like Filipino, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Philippine History and Culture, Physical Education and Arts. Our learning facilitators use English as the main language of instruction.

Senior High School

SHS consists of two years of specialized upper secondary education (grades 11 and 12, ages 16 to 18). Students are streamed into academic specialization tracks with distinct curricula. Before enrolling, students choose a specialization track. Each track study a core curriculum of 15 required subjects from seven learning areas, which include: languages, literature, communication, mathematics, philosophy, natural sciences, and social sciences. The grading scale and methods of assessment used in SHS are the same as in JHS, but with a stronger emphasis on performance tasks. Upon completion of grade 12, students are awarded a high school diploma.

What We Offer

Safety First

School safety is our utmost priority. ALIAC strongly promotes the protection of students from violence, exposure to weapons and threats, theft, bullying, and the sale or use of illegal substances on campus grounds. We ensure that our entrance and exit are strictly monitored. We regularly practice lockdown drills over the course of the school year as we do fire drills, earthquake drills, and other drills. We practice our drills in a realistic manner not simply when it is convenient and least disruptive to the school day.

Regular Classes

A typical school week is Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 4pm or 5pm depending on the grade or year level. Students usually have an am/pm snack breaks and an hour lunch break. Students either eat their lunch at the school cafeterias or bring their own lunch to school. Classes average about 15-20 students (boys and girls together) and regularly students remain in one classroom and teachers come in to teach different subjects. However, students are asked to transfer from time to time depending on the lessons and required learning environment.

Certified Teachers

Basic Education takes pride of its Certified Teachers—an educator who has earned credentials by earning a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree and holder of the title “Licensed Professional Teacher”. On top of this, our teacher qualification standard requires us to look at this critical skills for our teachers—Communication Skills, Creativity, Listening Skills, Friendly Attitude, Patient, Strong Work Ethic, Organizational Skills, Conflict Resolution, and Discipline Skills.

Sufficient Classrooms

Basic Education occupies a dedicated space in the campus. This set-up provides our students sufficient classrooms where our students can come to study toward specific goals set before them in the class objectives. Inside our classrooms, our standards require our teachers to be positive, organized, outgoing, confident, and compassionate. Our classrooms are designed to inspire our student—classrooms are light, airy, and filled with examples of work that they aspire to do.

Creative Lessons

Our certified teachers deliver instruction in a novel and useful way that promotes student growth related to the development of original thought and action. Our creative teaching delivery standard focuses both on the methods our teachers use and the overall effect those methods have on students and the outcomes produced. Through our critical and creative thinking and problem-solving, ideas become reality as children create inventive solutions, illustrate their ideas, and make models of their creations. Our creative thinking lesson plans provide our students with opportunities to develop and practice higher-order thinking skills.

Sports Facilities

ALIAC as institution of learning recognizes how important sports are for schools. To this end, we provide sufficient sports facilities and activities for our students to enjoy. We believe sports help in the overall physical as well as mental development of our students. While playing with each other in campus, in develops the sense of team spirit, leadership, self-esteem, self-confidence, and friendliness among fellow students. Sports activities shape our student’s body and make it strong and active. In ALIAC, children are engaged in sorts of games at a very early stage to keep these values in life.

Let Your Child Experience The ALIAC Education.

We expect students who graduate from our Basic Education Program to enter the adult world as confident and capable human beings, prepared to succeed in college, pursue meaningful careers, and socially responsible citizens.  As our core competence, our program focuses on aviation science.
