The ALIAC community is abuzz with excitement as the highly anticipated INTRAMURALS 2024 officially kicked off on June 3, 2024. Hosted by the Office of the Student Development and Services in close coordination with the Office of the VPFA, VPAA, OUS, and Athletics Office, this year’s event promises to be a celebration of unity, camaraderie, and teamwork.

Themed “We are ALIAC: Soaring Together as One,” the opening ceremony was nothing short of electrifying, with Ms. Hazel Pagulayan and Engr. Lance Ivan Casupang leading the proceedings. Attendees were treated to a vibrant showcase of school spirit and competitive enthusiasm, with each team proudly displaying their banners, representing their unique identities and creative expressions. The festivities also included the much-anticipated Ms. Intramurals 2024 pageant, traditional Filipino games, and an exciting basketball game that set the tone for the days ahead.

Participating teams, hailing from diverse academic programs and departments, are geared up for a thrilling competition. The lineup includes the Flying Minokawa representing the Bachelor of Science in Aviation major in Flying program, the Blue Griffins proudly presented by the Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering program, the Green Ravens from the Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Technology program, the Yellow Strix representing the Bachelor of Science in Avionics Technology program, the Raptors and Harriers from the Department of Tourism and Office Administration, and the Valorous Maroon Eagles from the Basic Education- Senior High School department.

The Intramurals offer a plethora of games and competitions catering to various interests and skills. Whether it’s popular e-sports like Mobile Legends and Call of Duty, traditional board games such as chess and scrabble, or physical sports like table tennis, volleyball, and basketball, there’s something for everyone. The cheerdance competition adds an extra dose of energy and excitement to the event.

Scheduled to conclude on June 14, 2024, the two-week extravaganza aims to bring the ALIAC community closer together through the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. The event underscores the significance of extracurricular activities in fostering a sense of belonging and unity among students.
