KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Team EcoPoint from Air Link International Aviation College (ALIAC) achieved an impressive milestone after being named one of the Top 3 (Age 18+) in the Bett Asia School Challenge 2025, a competition that drew more than 150 teams from various countries around the world.

The team, composed of Elican Gunsi, Josh Andrei Satur, Tom Kirby Bande, and John Victor Juan, all fifth-year Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering students, was mentored by Engr. Bryan Jake Amaro. Their innovative project, EcoPoint, stood out for its practical approach to sustainability and environmental awareness.

EcoPoint is a smart and user-friendly application that helps small businesses and communities understand and reduce their environmental impact. It provides easy-to-read data on local weather and air quality and recommends simple, low-cost actions to promote energy efficiency and climate resilience. The platform also emphasizes transparency by sharing aggregated environmental data that supports community planning and accountability.

The finals took place on October 2, 2025, at the Mandarin Oriental in Kuala Lumpur, where Team EcoPoint presented their project live on the Classroom Theatre Stage before judges, educators, and innovators from across Asia. Bett Asia is one of the region’s premier education technology events, bringing together global leaders, educators, and students to showcase transformative ideas that advance learning and sustainability.
