ALIAC Phoenixes Join Girls in Aviation Day 2025
Empowering women to soar higher in the skies
ALIAC proudly participated in the Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) 2025 held on October 4, 2025, through Women in Aviation (WAI) Philippines, at the Cebu Pacific Airlines Operations Center, Domestic Airport Road, Pasay City.
The event highlighted the diverse and dynamic careers available in the aviation industry, focusing on women’s growing contributions in roles traditionally dominated by men. Cebu Pacific’s women personnel — including pilots, cabin crew, mechanics, and technicians — shared their inspiring journeys, offering firsthand insights into their professional experiences and the importance of empowering more women to pursue aviation-related paths.
Representing ALIAC, Dr. Lina Constante, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented the College’s aviation-focused programs designed to prepare aspiring aviators, engineers, and aviation professionals for global competitiveness. Dr. Constante emphasized ALIAC’s commitment to promoting gender inclusivity in the aviation field and encouraging young women to reach for their dreams with confidence and determination. Joining her were Dr. Gail Amurao, Ms. Gwen Amurao, Dr. Jhennie Villar, and the SHS principal, Ms. Jazel Libo-on.
The participation of ALIAC studentsreinforced the institution’s dedication to nurturing future leaders who are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also inspired to break barriers and redefine possibilities in aviation.
As the event concluded, one message soared above all — the sky isn’t the limit; it’s just the beginning.
