ALIAC and Cebu Pacific Air Forge Partnership to Strengthen Design Engineering Program
In a significant step toward advancing aviation education and industry collaboration, Air Link International Aviation College (ALIAC) and Cebu Pacific Air formally sealed their partnership through a Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held at the ALIAC Aeroclub.
The partnership marks the start of an exciting collaboration under the Design Engineering Program, aimed at bridging academic learning and real-world aviation challenges. Through this initiative, ALIAC students and faculty will work closely with Cebu Pacific’s Engineering and Fleet Management (EFM) team to develop innovative projects, conduct joint research, and design engineering solutions that respond to the evolving needs of the aviation industry.
Representing ALIAC in the signing was Dr. Lina M. Constante, Vice President for Academic Affairs, while Mr. Marlon Benevides, Director for Safety, Standards, Compliance, signed on behalf of Cebu Pacific. Witnessing the momentous event were ALIAC administrators and Cebu Pacific officers, including representatives from both institutions’ academic, technical, and development divisions.
The collaboration highlights several key initiatives such as student thesis and capstone projects addressing industry-specific challenges, joint R&D ventures between Cebu Pacific and ALIAC faculty and students, and the potential transformation of Beyond Economic Repair (BER) items into usable learning tools for other industries and applications.
Both institutions expressed optimism that this partnership will not only enhance the practical competencies of future aviation professionals but also strengthen the link between education and industry innovation. The MOA embodies ALIAC’s continued commitment to producing globally competitive graduates and Cebu Pacific’s vision of fostering sustainable, future-ready engineering practices.
